"WOW what an amazing opening night of Epsom Light Opera Company's 'My Fair Lady' at the Epsom Playhouse last night. Fantastic performances by all. Gareth Thomas as Henry Higgins, I thought Rex Harrison was on stage and Gemma Bowden as Eliza Doolittle was outstanding. With a very talented cast and crew behind them with wonderful costumes and dance routines, you don't want to miss this show, a standing ovation from a packed playhouse." - Whats On In Epsom

"I came to see you production of My Fair Lady last night and wanted to congratulate all those involved. The singing, the orchestra and the costumes just WOW! I have directed this musical in 2017 and it was lovely to see such a fresh interpretation of the text. Thank you!" - Vanessa

Spring 2024

Widely considered one of the greatest musicals of all time. Lerner and Loewe’s award- winning masterpiece features a host of well-loved songs, including ‘Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?’, ‘With a Little Bit of Luck’, ‘The Rain in Spain’, ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’, ‘On the Street Where You Live’, ‘Get Me to the Church on Time’ and ‘I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face’.

Pompous phonetics professor Henry Higgins is so sure of his abilities that he takes it upon himself to transform a Cockney working-class girl into someone who can pass for a cultured member of high society. His subject turns out to be the lovely Eliza Doolittle, a Covent Garden flower girl, who agrees to speech lessons to improve her job prospects. Higgins and Eliza clash, then form an unlikely bond - one that is threatened by an aristocratic suitor.
