Come From Away is the award-winning musical based on the remarkable true story of a small Canadian town that welcomed over 7,000 stranded airline passengers in the wake of 9/11. Set in Gander, Newfoundland, the show celebrates humanity at its best — capturing the warmth, humour, generosity, and resilience of a community that turned a global tragedy into a moment of extraordinary kindness.
With a fast-paced score and a rich ensemble of characters based on real people, Come From Away is heartfelt, funny, and powerfully moving. It’s an ensemble-driven production that places equal value on every role, with no traditional leads — just a community of people whose lives unexpectedly collide.
Our production will not double-cast roles as in the professional versions. Instead, we will cast a wide and inclusive company, with many exciting, substantial roles available for actor-singers of all ages and backgrounds. This is a fast-moving, story-led show that relies on strong storytelling, character work, and collaborative spirit.
We’re looking for committed, passionate performers who want to be part of something truly special. If you love ensemble theatre, authentic characters, and powerful music — "Come on in... The door's open!"
