Sidney Bernstein Male  Ensemble late 50s - mid 60s  Spoken The producer of an out of town flop. Sidney is tough and self-serving. Actor should have good comic timing. Pgs 27-28


Christopher Belling Male  Supporting 40 - 60  Baritone English director. Very camp. Very funny. Requires a good comic lead actor. Pgs 13-14 Show People, pgs 76-79 (sing all lines)
Bambi Bernet Female  Supporting early 20s - early 30s  Soprano Performer in the chorus and daughter of Carmen, the lead producer. Hungry to work her way up to leading performer many think she was only hired because of her mother. Bambi is a good dancer/comidienne who sings well. Pgs 73-74 In The Same Boat#1, pg 100
Daryl Grady Male  Featured 30s  Spoken A theatre critic for the local Boston newspaper, he enjoys using the power he has to make or break shows during their out of town try-outs Pgs 101-102 N/A
Johnny Harmon Male  Featured 40s - 50s  Spoken The stage manager of the show-within-the-show. Johnny is a character man who is gruff but loveable. He keeps the company in line and on their toes throughout the rehearsal process. Pgs 85-86 N/A
Oscar Shapiro Male  Featured 45 - 65  Baritone The general manager. He is an agreeable if slightly gruff man. He is always looking for any angle to find money. Requires a good comic actor who sings. Pg 58 What Kind Of Man, pgs 41-43. For audition sing ALL lines
Bobby Pepper Male  Supporting 20s - early 30s  Baritone The choreographer and lead dancer. He is a strong singer who dances well. Pgs 79-80 In The Same Boat#2, pgs 177-179
Jessica Cranshaw Female  Featured 30s - 40s  Soprano Fading Hollywood star. A diva, who has no right to be one, she is a terrible singer and actress who stars in the show-within-the-show and gets murdered on its opening night. Pgs 1-2 Wide Open Spaces Reprise, pgs 27-28. Sing straight once, and repeat out of tune.
